Language points
1. Is this your mum?
“Is this / …?”常用于询问对方“这是……吗？”，用于询问距离说话人较近的单个的人或物。回答时常用“Yes, it is.”或“No, it isn’t.”。
2. Are these your grandparents?
意为“这些是……？”，用于询问距离说话人较近的两个或两个以上的人或物，回答时常用“Yes, they are.”或“No, they aren’t.”。
3. on the right / left 意为“在右边/左边”。

next to意为“挨着，在……的近旁”；dad’s是名词所有格，表示有生命的物体的所有格时，一般在词尾加-’s。
